Topic	Which one is the best SMPS controller ICs for 100W?
Power Supply Message	Hi all, I was designing a 100W flyback SMPS with the ON Semi NCP1603 IC. It has integrated PFC and PWM controllers in one single chip. However I found that the circuits get very hot when the PFC section was enabled. There was obviously problem with the chip. We'll have to design similar SMPS again in the future. Can anyone suggest any controllers to use for that purpose that would give: - minimal EMI noise - maximum efficiency - lowest cost - minimal number of external components Err.. hope that I'm not asking for too much.. :-p Thanks. Message	Hi, At this power level,I will recommend the TOPxx series from Power Int. too. Low cost, few components,easy to design with and good emi performance if circuitboard layout is optimum. Regards, Terje S. www.circuits.dk
