The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and oversight of the NSLS storage ring power supplies and pulsed power systems. Daily activities include monitoring equipment operation, proposing and implementing equipment improvements, and working closely with the technical group. NSLS Accelerator & Operations Division.

Qualifications Required: Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or higher with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the design and analysis of high power multiphase power supplies. Pulsed power experience is required including experience with thyratrons and their drive circuitry. Knowledge of power transformer configurations, power factor correction, and power supply controls is also required. Must possess project management skills; excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse group of scientists and technical staff and have the ability to provide high quality reports and presentations. Must have demonstrated experience overseeing the work of technicians and others.

Qualifications Preferred: Master's degree is preferred. Experience in an accelerator and storage ring facility is a plus. Experience with LabView, MatLab, circuit simulation tools (SPICE), and Programmable Logic Controllers is also a plus.
