The Home Entertainment of America, Product Development Division located in San Diego currently has an opening for a Senior Power Supply Electrical Engineer.

The Senior Power Supply Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design and qualification of AC-DC and DC-DC/LDO power supply designs. This is an individual contributor design engineering position. The role entails working with cross-functional groups to continually push the envelope of technology. The candidate should have a consumer electronics background and experience designing high volume, high quality products. The Senior Power Supply Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all phases of project development including analysis of product requirements, circuit design, qualification, documentation, production, and market failure analysis; both at the component and system levels. The candidate will determine appropriate design methods, define circuit parameters, conduct tests, and evaluate results. The candidate will also be responsible to select components and necessary equipment based on product/project requirements. The Senior Power Supply Electrical Engineer will be expected to, troubleshoot and resolve problems of a complex nature. The candidate will perform day to day tasks with minimal supervision. The candidate will need to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The candidate will also build and maintain productive internal and external working relationships.

Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
-Must have 4 to 6 years of related engineering experience
-Experience in consumer electronics is required
-Design experience in power electronics, analog circuitry, AC/DC power supplies, adapters, and DC/DC power supply design
-The application of fundamentals of high-efficiency power supply design
-Design to meet EMC standards
-Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements
-Troubleshooting, evaluating, and testing power electronics in a lab environment
-Work with IC vendors to evaluate new products
-Work with and suppliers and manufacturing partners
-Interface with multi-disciplinary product design teams
-Schematic capture and PWB layout design
-Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
-Ability to manage and coordinate several simultaneous projects at one time
-Excellent interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and oral communications
-Must have strong presentations skills
-The flexibility to travel domestically or internationally is required
