Job Description
Design controls for advanced solid state lighting sub-systems. This exciting growth industry is fueled by energy efficiency needs and rising electricity costs. Responsibilities include design, evaluation and application of products capable of communicating with other energy or building management control systems. Manage products from concept through volume production release.

Responsibilities
- Design and development of network enabled products for lighting applications
- Use lean Voice of Customer tools to understand customer technologies, strategic roadmaps, control needs and translate into customer innovations
- Support global engineering and cross-functional teams
- Develop training tools and technical literature for systems and applications
- Provide support for product manufacturing and test

Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Success in implementing control protocols for lighting systems
- Familiar with sensor technologies and specifications
- Experienced with hardware and software implementation of wireless (i.e. ZigBee) and wired (RS-485, DALI, TCP/IP) communications
- Knowledge of software development for embedded systems to work with higher level protocols
- Experienced with design and implementation of embedded networked systems
- Knowledge of global safety and emissions regulatory compliance standards
- Skilled with schematic capture systems and circuit simulation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization
- Provide effective project leadership, organize and prioritize
- PC proficient, including Excel, Word, MS Project, Power Point
